      INTRODUCTION

I am an American artist born in New York City.

My impulse is to experiment with water-based media on paper. It is a " WHAT IF " attitude that motivates me. If I do this, then that, what will happen ? Three considerations motivate me to use the particular technique that most excites me in art. They are freedom, risk and curiosity. These psychological aspects satisfy me personally.

About the work of Carol Lyons: " Whenever I see a watercolor by Carol Lyons, I'm impressed by her natural feeling for the magic of the medium. Her paintings are captivating because they convey the artist's delight in the amazing freshness, spontaneity and luminosity that are unique to watercolor." Wendon Blake, author, The Watercolor Painting Book.
